What we believe

We believe that God has revealed Himself in his Word, the Bible. In it, God has promised all that we need to know about salvation and living for Jesus.

Our central message is the good news that God so loved the world that He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, into it. Jesus came into our world as a man, so that he could die for the sins of His people. But this was not the end of the story! Through rising again, He secured our forgiveness and the free gift of eternal life. Not only that, we have God’s promise of comfort, strength, peace, hope and meaning in life regardless of what our physical situation may be.

This is the good news we wish to share with our community here in Geelong West.

Our confessions

Most of what we believe we hold in common with the Christian church around the world and throughout the ages.

We believe that the Bible is God’s inspired Word. Our understanding of key Christian doctrines is summarized in the Apostles Creed, the Nicene Creed and the Athanasian Creed, and in the Reformed Confessions: the Belgic Confession, the Heidelberg Catechism, and the Canons of Dordt.
